Wendy and Chris

Story

After living in Cornwall for many years, retired teachers Chris and Wendy were ready for a change. From the South West all the way to the North East, their hearts were set on Northumberland; an ideal base for them to travel around the country in their beloved motor home. However, whilst Chris longed for hilltop walks and bird watching in the countryside, Wendy preferred the idea of living near the sea to indulge in her newfound love of open water swimming.

With a budget of £175,000 their requirements included a minimum of 2 bedrooms, low maintenance outdoor space, parking for motorhome and fantastic views with dark skies for stargazing.

After viewing a range of coastal and countryside properties across Northumberland, we went international and took Chris and Wendy to a beautiful period cottage situated half a mile over the border into the Scottish countryside. On the market for at £158,000, this cottage ticked all of their boxes with 2 bedrooms, space to park the motorhome and views to die for. Chris and Wendy offered £152,500 for their dream countryside cottage and their offer was accepted.
