Elaine and Alicia

Story

Adult learning tutor and alternative therapist Elaine was looking to buy a property in the county of Kent after holidaying there most of her life. With her children all grown up and flying the nest, she felt it was the perfect time to relocate and have a change of lifestyle. However, Elaine was torn over where to buy.

Having lived in Derbyshire most of her life, she had grown very fond of life in the countryside and particularly enjoyed taking her 2 dogs on woodland walks. On the other hand, she had always loved the idea of living in a good old British seaside town and perhaps it was time for a change? Facing such a big dilemma, Elaine brought along close friend Alicia to help her make the all-important decision.

With a budget of £240,000 their requirements included a minimum of 2 bedrooms, room for Elaine’s alternative therapy work and outside space.

Result

In a battle that was too close to call, it was a coastal ground floor apartment in Palm Bay, Margate that took the trophy. On the market at £215,000, this property offered everything Elaine was looking for. With 3 bedrooms, heaps of character, communal gardens and just a 200m walk to the beach, this apartment was perfect. Elaine offered £200,000 for her dream property and this offer was accepted.
