Shirley and David

Story

Shirley’s home had been in her family for 80 years, but having recently married her childhood sweetheart David, she felt it was time for a fresh start and a brand new home. Born and bred Cornish girl Shirley knew that she didn’t want to move out of the county, but she was struggling to decide which part of Cornwall would be best.

Having always lived inland, Shirley was keen to find a dream property in the countryside, as she believed that a rural setting would mean more space. David, on the other hand, loved the idea of having the sea nearby and had his sights set on a move to the coast.

With a budget of £275,000 their requirements included a minimum of 3 bedrooms, character and outside space.

Result

Coast triumphed in the end as Shirley and David fell in love with a spacious Georgian town house in the heart of the buzzing seaside town of Penzance. On the market for £269,950, this 4-bedroom property provided the character they were looking for as well as the much-needed space they required for their family to live harmoniously.

With a courtyard outside for the dogs, Shirley was over the moon to find a property in the coastal location that David dreamt of but with the amount of space she thought was impossible to find so close to the sea. This couple were delighted to offer £245,000 for the property and it was accepted.
